BFS Varsity Volleyball Teams Shine in a Stellar Season

The Busan Foreign School (BFS) high school volleyball teams concluded another remarkable season, showcasing their skill, determination, and teamwork.

Boys Varsity Volleyball Team

The BFS boys’ varsity volleyball team had an exhilarating season, ending with a winning match record of 13-12 and a set record of 31-28. Among the highlights was their dramatic five-set comeback victory in the Battle of Busan, where the team rallied to win three straight sets, reclaiming the trophy for BFS. Additionally, the boys clinched 2nd place finishes in both the Busan Invitational Tournament and the SKAIS Tournament, cementing their status as fierce competitors.

Individual achievements were pivotal to the team’s success:

Justin Han led with an impressive 26 aces.
Mark Brueggeman showcased incredible precision with a remarkable 97.14% serve accuracy.
Captain Jun Park dominated at the net with 106 kills and 23 blocks, earning multiple All-Tournament Team honors. His leadership and positive attitude set the tone for the team.

Special recognition goes to seniors Justin Yeo and Jun Park for their dedication and leadership. With a strong core of younger players stepping up, the future of BFS boys’ volleyball looks incredibly promising.

Girls Varsity Volleyball Team

The BFS Lady Sharks varsity girls’ volleyball team continued their dominance this season, building on their undefeated 2023-24 record. The 2024-25 season saw the team achieve an incredible 22-2 match record and a 46-7 set record, bringing their two-season total to an astonishing 40-2 in matches and 85-12 in sets.

This season, the Lady Sharks claimed championship titles at the Busan Invitational and SKAIS Tournaments and secured 2nd place finishes at the Jeju Invitational and KISAC Tournaments. Their consistent excellence underscores their reputation as one of the region’s most formidable teams.

With their exceptional teamwork, relentless drive, and strategic play, the Lady Sharks are poised for continued success in the seasons ahead.
