Busan Foreign School has been a nonprofit organization (Registered Charity # 617-82-04528) since 1998.
Busan Foreign School is overseen by a board that is responsible for the governance of the school. The board adopts policies consistent with the school’s mission and vision. It supports the achievement of the schoolwide learning outcomes, delegates implementation of these policies to professional staff, and monitors results. They are responsible for making strategic decisions to ensure the sustainability and financial viability of BFS as it seeks to fulfill its mission and vision. The board is composed of experts in different areas such as finance, operations, legislative, student welfare, etc.
The board meets three times per year.
