Middle School Book Review

BenBee And The Teacher Griefer by K.A Holt

Humor and Poetry and Realistic Fiction

Who is the author you ask K.A Holt The title of the book is Benbee and the teacher griefer. If you don’t know what a griefer is, it is someone who destroys houses in video games. The characters are; BenBee or (Ben. B) Jajajavier or (Javier) 0BenwhY or (Benita. Y) JordanJMageddon or (Jordan J) and these are divergent children in summer school.

What they do throughout the whole book is read for ten minutes then they get ten minutes of sandbox. For those of you who don’t know what a sandbox is, it is usually a multiplayer creative world where you can do anything in a video game. Ms. J is their middle school summer school teacher for neurodivergent kids with learning disabilities. She is a really fun teacher that plays sandbox with them for ten minutes and more depending on how much they read. BenBee is probably one of the best books I have ever read in my life. I’d rate this book 4.9 out of 5 stars because the ending could have been better. I also love the structure of this book and how it is made with drawings, poetic paragraph structure, and realism. If you liked the book Wonder BenBee is the book for you with humor, realistic fiction, and neurodivergent middle schoolers.
