Busan Foreign School students were recently inducted into the BFS Computer Science Honor Society (CSHS), recognizing outstanding achievement in the school’s growing computer science program. The honor society celebrates students who demonstrate academic excellence in computing while promoting leadership, responsible technology use, and service through coding initiatives such as Hack Club, student hackathons, and programming competitions.

Student Leadership in Computer Science at BFS

At BFS, CSHS members play an active role in strengthening the school’s growing computer science community. Students help lead the BFS Hack Club, host coding workshops for fellow students, and organize technology initiatives across campus. This year they also helped host BFS’s 24 hour student-led hackathon, bringing together participants from schools across Busan to design and build original games in a collaborative coding environment. The BFS team also earned 4th place in the international Codementum Coding Competition, demonstrating strong technical skill and teamwork.

The chapter also maintains its own website, developed and managed by CSHS Webmaster Sunny Hwang, which highlights student initiatives and projects: https://cshs-website-khaki.vercel.app/
