Busan Foreign School is proud to recognize students who earned 25 College Board AP recognitions through this year’s Advanced Placement Program.
BFS students were recognized across multiple AP award categories, including AP Scholar, AP Scholar with Honor, AP Scholar with Distinction, AP Capstone Diploma, and AP International Diploma. These distinctions reflect students’ strong performance on multiple AP Exams and their commitment to challenging themselves through rigorous college-level coursework.
Two members of the Class of 2026, Joy C. and Mi Re P., earned the AP Capstone Diploma, one of the College Board’s most demanding distinctions. The AP Capstone Diploma is awarded to students who earn scores of 3 or higher in AP Seminar, AP Research, and four additional AP Exams of their choosing. The program emphasizes research, evidence-based writing, collaboration, presentation skills, and independent inquiry.
Kristina K., Grade 11, earned the AP International Diploma, a distinction that requires students to earn scores of 3 or higher on five or more AP Exams while meeting specific subject-area requirements. These requirements include AP Exams in two different languages, at least one AP Exam offering a global perspective, at least one AP Exam in math or science, and one additional qualifying AP Exam.
In total, BFS students earned 25 AP recognitions this year. These included 13 AP Scholar with Distinction honors, three AP Scholar with Honor honors, and six AP Scholar recognitions, in addition to the AP Capstone Diploma and AP International Diploma awards. These results highlight the dedication of BFS students and the strength of the school’s AP program.
