Middle School Book Review
The Boy Who Fooled The World by Lisa Thompson
Realistic-Fiction/Mystery
The Boy Who Fooled The World is a realistic fiction/mystery story by Lisa Thompson. It presents a family of the Millers. A 12-year-old named Cole, his sister Mabel, and his parents. His dad is a stay-home parent, and his mom works at the museum, but it is closing soon. Cole and his two friends, Isla and Mason are trying to solve a 100-year-old mystery called the “The Enigma Of Oil” in the museum. They must translate it to save the closing museum. The next day, Cole shockingly got his two paintings from his art class taken to the London gallery by a famous artist, Marika Loft, and her assistant, Declan. In the following weeks, it got sold for 101,000 pounds, but there is a little secret that he is hiding. I would rate this book 5 out of 5 because it has a lot of exciting game-changing sequences. Also, it has a lot of character development. If you enjoy mystery books like Space Case and Mistletoe and Murder, you would adore this book!
