A Galaxy Of Sea Star is a thrilling realistic fiction filled with racism, and friendship problems written by Jeanne Zulick Ferruolo. This story starts with an 11-year-old girl named Izzy who is about to start middle school with her two best friends Zelda and Piper until her life changes when a girl and her family from Afghanistan come to live on the third floor of their marina. Izzy faces racism with her new friend Sitara and ends up losing and winning each fight. Izzy also goes through many problems because her Mom moved away and her Dad faces hardships of trying to keep the marina afloat. This book is a great book that has friendship problems, racism, and how Izzy and Sitara fight through all these problems. If you enjoy books that have a lot of drama, tension, and people fighting against these problems then this is the perfect book for you!
