Middle School Book Review

Across The Desert by Dusti Bowling

Realistic-Fiction

Across The Desert by Dusti Bowling is a realistic fiction book. This book talks about a girl who finds her lost friend Addie, with a friend she met on the bus while she was healing at Quartzsite. Jolene watches a live-streamed video and sees a girl crash her flying ultralight nearby a desert. This book is mainly about a girl named Jolene, who goes on this tough journey and tries to find her friend Addie. At the beginning of this book, the author creates a problem and then ends with a cheerful ending leaving the reader to be more interested in this book. Overall, I would rate this book 9.5 out of 10. Something I liked about this book is when Jolene finally found her friend Addie and started going to school. I would recommend this book to people who like adventurous and realistic fiction stories like the book called Hummingbird.
