Parent Teacher Support Organization

PTSO

The BFS “Parent Teacher Support Organization” or PTSO, is a membership organization with the purpose of supporting students at BFS by fostering relationships amongst the school, parents, and teachers via events, support of the extracurricular and fundraisers.

Typical PTSO involvement includes planning school-wide events, funding activities organized by student leadership groups, ensuring parental support during sports activities, helping the school in different community outings, etc. These are wonderful opportunities not only to foster a healthy environment at the school but also for parents to enjoin and gain an understanding of what belonging to an American international school means.

The PTSO meets monthly at the school. These meetings are “extended” by lunch in the city where parents enjoy each other’s company in a relaxed atmosphere while discovering new places in town.

For the 2017-2018 school year, the PTSO officers are Sarah Sanchez, Brian Armstrong, Vanessa Allepuz, Kathy Kim, and Mariana Jimenez.
