BFS Admissions Criteria and Priority

Categories of Eligibility

Prospective families seeking enrollment at BFS must meet one of the following eligibility criteria:

Dual nationality – at least one parent must possess a foreign passport and citizenship from another country that is not South Korea.
For Korean families, the student must have resided abroad for a minimum of three years (1095 days).

Priorities for Admission

Children of US Federal Government employees including the US Armed Forces
Expatriate children where both parents are foreign (non-Korean) passport holders
Expatriate children where one parent is a foreign (non-Korean) passport holder
Transfer students from our sister school Gyeongnam International Foreign School (GIFS) who qualify per the categories of eligibility
Siblings of students who are Korean passport holders already enrolled at BFS who qualify per the categories of eligibility
