I regret to inform you that Mrs. Lauren Harvey, Vice Principal, is leaving BFS to begin a new position in Hawaii. Mrs. Harvey’s last day at BFS will be April 24, 2019.
Over the past three years as Vice Principal, Mrs. Harvey has been involved in all aspects of teaching and learning, course and activities scheduling, and student discipline.
As the ACS WASC accreditation coordinator, she has engaged with all stakeholders toward continuous school improvement.
Mrs. Harvey is thankful to have witnessed the development of BFS over the past few years and is confident of its continued positive growth in the future.
Mrs. Harvey strongly values her relationships with students, parents, teachers, and operations staff, and she will miss the very special BFS community!
Mr. Carl Brenneman has been hired as the Vice Principal for the 2019-20 school year starting in July 2019.
Originally from Montana, USA, Mr. Brenneman joins BFS having over 20 years experience in the education sector, most of which at international schools in Asia.
Initially an English Language and History teacher, he has served as Middle School Principal at KIS Jeju campus for three years.
Mr. Brenneman also holds a Principal Administrator Certificate from Washington State.
He believes in the value of reaching understanding in education through experience and the restorative justice approach to behavioral interventions.
On behalf of everyone at BFS, please let us all wish Mrs. Harvey good luck for the future and happy farewell, and welcome Mr. Brenneman to the BFS family.
