At BFS we are always looking to make meaningful partnerships that prepare our students to become responsible and contributing citizens in a rapidly changing world. For the last few months, we have been in discussion with Wonder Lab.
A project of Purdue University’s School of Industrial Design, Wonder Lab seeks to bring the process of designing and innovating to our students. With 3D printing, laser cutting, and CNC fabrication our students will speed up the manufacturing process. Any individual student can develop, create, test, and refine products within a single day. BFS will continue to take advantage of the new opportunities that technology provides to our students.
We have also submitted and received a grant from the East Asia Regional Council of Overseas Schools (EARCOS) Think Make Innovate to host and present a weekend learning workshop run by TJ Kim, Associate Professor of Industrial Design and Product Development at Purdue University. This workshop will be open to top educators at international schools in the EARCOS region. Taking place in October, this weekend workshop will allow us to showcase our fantastic school and network with leading professionals.
The partnership with Wonder Labs will complement the program innovations we have made at BFS over the last two years. In Computer Sciences, Music, Arts, Maths and Science we have been seeking valuable opportunities to improve.
