In this story, Ivan learns about the values and benefits of friends, family, and art through a roller-coaster of emotions. You might even learn a few things yourself from this story. I give this story 5 stars because the author, Katherine Applegate, writes in detail, yet makes the book easy and simple to read and understand for the reader. If you like books that have animals as characters or books with wholesome and naive characters, I guarantee that this book is for you.
