Yesterday 5 schools gathered with 50 science projects and 85 students for a science fair at BFS. Students presented their projects 4-6 times individually to various members of a panel of 25 judges made up of community members, teachers and heads of school from all around S. Korea. Attending were BIA, GIFS, DIS, HIS, and BFS.
All of our students were poised and professional, and delivered great projects. Some of our students won their divisions:
Congratulations to the winners of awards from BFS:
- Min Jeong, 2nd place in the Environmental Science HS Division with her project: “Eliminating lignin in biomass”
- Jee Hyun Park, 1st place in the Biology HS Division with her project “Effects of temperature on the rate of enzyme activity”
- Michelle Moon and Lucy Park, 1st place in the Chemistry MS Division with their project. “Do liquids evaporate at different rates?”
Many classes from the elementary, middle and high schools visited the science fair and enjoyed the displays.
It was a wonderful day for all.
