This year we introduced an Environmental Science Class at Busan Foreign School.

On September 2nd, the class went on their first walking field trip. Located just 7 walking minutes from the school, the little creek that runs out of the Daecheong Reservoir flows down the hill and can be accessed from the trail that crosses the creek near the Haeundae Public Library.

Our students and their teacher, Ms. Branch, went to the creek to begin assessing the area for a possible long term scientific study. Students were prepared for rain or shine, as field scientists must be. Although light rain did fall, they were lucky, as the weather got much worse later that day! Students carried field notebooks, and took stream measurements to prepare for the next phase of the project investigation.
