Dear BFS parents,
We are pleased to inform you that on Monday, September 6th we will be welcoming all our students under our face-to face education mode.
This means all students will physically attend school every day. We are pleased to inform you that after-school clubs will also start on this date.
Your child’s safety is important to us, and BFS will operate our enhanced safety protocols, including mandatory use of masks, daily temperature checks, hand sanitizer, etc.
As a reminder, In order to keep our community safe, your children should stay at home in either of the following two cases:
-
If living in the same unit with someone under self-quarantine due to travel or other circumstances.
-
If experiencing any Covid-19 (flu-like) symptoms. These include: fever, chills, cough, sore throat, headache, muscle ache, loss of sense of smell.
Children should be fever-free for five days before returning to school.
If your child did not develop a fever but experienced multiple symptoms (3 or more), they should stay at home for at least three days.
We strongly recommend consulting a doctor if experiencing any of the above symptoms.
We rely on our families to tell us if they have been in close contact with positive cases of Covid-19. When we get that information, we treat it confidentially and use it to make decisions that help keep our whole community safe.
For Grades 3 through 5, if you have not done so yet, we recommend you watch our safety training video with your child.
We would also like to remind you that the school is not accessible to students before 8:15 am, and that parents are not allowed on campus. Our faculty will greet your child as they arrive at the school entrance.
At BFS, we believe the Face-to-face instructional model is the most effective for your child’s learning and well-being.
We can’t wait to see all students together on Monday!
Sincerely,
Lauren Harvey Carl Brenneman
