Literacy month has been a success at BFS.
From reading buddies during advisory periods, to Harry Potter reading clubs, the students have gained an appreciation for literacy through the different events this month.
On Tuesday March 22nd, the HS Student Council teamed up with the Literacy Committee to host their first ever «Breakfast with a Book» event. The stuco kids went all out in decorating the cafeteria with a literacy theme! There were books all over the tables and reading quotes hanging from the ceiling. Several families, teachers, and students joined in to read a book while enjoying pancakes, muffins, fruit, juice, and coffee. If someone walked into the cafeteria then, they would see everyone with an open book!
It was a beautiful picture of how reading can bring families together. All the proceeds went to the HS Prom.
