The BFS Sharks Boys and Girls soccer teams headed into the final tournament of the year with a wave of energy! Both teams had big victories to start the day.
Our boys headed into the playoff tied for third place. They battled it out and played well to score 9 goals and two wins for the day, but the fell just short of placing. Although the championship eluded the boys this year, the team really came together and played very well. Coach Virgen remarked how impressed he was with our student athletes who showed great sportsmanship on and off the field. The boys always made sure to help each other up no matter if the player was on our team or our competitions. One of our captains, Daniel Kim finished the day by telling the team “We should all be proud of the job we did. We have improved so much this year and we all played our hearts out.” The boys still enjoyed an upbeat afternoon cheering on our lady sharks!
The HS Girls Soccer Team won 3 games and lost 1. The captains were Ann K and JeongMin P. 2 goals were scored by Anne L, 1 by JiHong L, and 1 by Elina Y. The goalies were Diana L and Alice S.
They came 2nd place out of 6 teams this year.
Big shout out to all our supporters! Every high school teacher made it out to support our teams!
