Dear families,

We are contacting you to inform you of recent changes to our Covid-19 guidelines.

Recognizing foreign vaccinations
BFS can recognize foreign vaccinations as long as they have been registered with the KDCA. Please ensure a copy of this registration is shared with us and uploaded through the Renweb portal.
=> This includes vaccinations for under 12-year-olds.
Please note CDC vaccination cards are not sufficient and need to be registered with KCDA.
Below are the instructions for how to register a foreign vaccine record with the KCDA:

Non fully vaccinated close contacts
Unvaccinated students identified as close contacts that tested negative will be able to attend school as long as they get tested every 48 hours and remain negative throughout, with a final test to take place on the 6th-7th day.

At home tests
Tests to be taken upon close contact identification, or those to be taken every 48 hours in the case of unvaccinated individuals must take place at a test center.
“Release” tests which take place on the 6th or 7th day upon contact identification can be home tests.
We still require our families to send copies of all test results (in the case of a home test a picture of the test result) to our school nurse, Hyun Suk Kim, at hskim@bfs.or.kr.

We believe these changes will maximize in person school attendance, reduce some of the inconveniences the current pandemic is causing, and continue to keep our community safe.

As always, please keep us informed of any positive test results so we can minimize the spread here at school.

Sincerely,
