Dear Parents,

2020 has been a year unlike any other.  It is hard to remember what it was like before COVID-19 came into our lives.  Starting with the first reported case in Busan on February 21st, we have been trying to find our new normal in a year that has been anything but normal.  We all know people around the world who have been affected by this terrible virus.  We all have had to make many compromises and accommodations as we seek what is best for our families.  The worst of this year has brought out the best in us.  It has provided an opportunity for us to connect, cooperate, and care for one other.

In a few short days, BFS will reach the end of the halfway point of our year together. Every day, our faculty and students work together to fulfill the promise of a brighter tomorrow. We are Socially Conscious, Hardworking, Articulate, Respectful, and Knowledgeable. BFS Sharks focus their time and energy on making us better tomorrow than we were yesterday. We are thankful for the support, patience, and understanding you, parents, have shown during our first semester. We could not have accomplished this without you.

The holidays give us time to pause, rest, and recharge. I hope that you and your family have a relaxing time this winter holiday. May you rejuvenate your relationships with one another and strengthen the bonds that sustain us all. I encourage you to also take the time to cultivate your curiosity and excitement for learning.

When we return to school on January 11th, we will be starting a new year, one filled with the hope for a better tomorrow.
