On April 29 the BFS Orchestra hosted a concert whose proceedings benefited the Korean Association for Children with Leukemia and Cancer (KACLC). Headquartered in Seoul KALC has been operating since 1998 focusing on providing social and emotional care to children with cancer and their families.

The concert included both classic pieces and contemporary ones, from Carmen to Pirates of the Caribbean or  The West. It was varied and wonderfully directed by our talented orchestra director Dr. Kim. BFS orchestra simply gets better year after year

Thanks to concert ticket sales, charity raffle sales and parent donations they raised 2,420,000krw. Some members of the orchestra and HS Student Council will travel to Seoul to visit the facilities and headquarters of KALC this summer. We are looking forward to knowing more about it!
