The boys and girls’ elementary basketball team travelled to DIS to compete in their first spring tournament of the year. The tournament was very well run, head up by Sarah Jolly, at Daegu international school. The boys, having fielded two teams, compiled a record of 3-1-2; the girls coming in with a record of 1-4.
Some highlights include:
- Veronika Yuguy banging on the boards, with multiple putback scores.
- Michael Choi, slicing the defense, for multiple layups.
- Gaetane Slootweg, going coast-to-coast.
- Competitive debuts for our 3rd graders, such as Kameron Dorsey, for his fearsome ball handling, and Elizabeth Kim, for her pressurizing defense.
We, as the coaches, would like to give special thanks to the family members who came out to support our young sharks. The snacks and the cheering were well-appreciated!
